Okay, it does, but it says I have inserted a blank DVD. Anyone else have problems like this? Do I need to return my copy? It plays on my newer Sony standalone DVD player so I know that its not totally a loss." Well, this is probably your punishment for announcing to the world that the Decemberists' Picaresque had made its way to the World Wide Web before its release date in March. This was you, right? ;-) As for Ewan in Velvet Goldmine, yes, that was altogether a fine performance. All of him, I mean, it, uh, never mind. This was you, right? ;-) Yep! My evil ways are not for everyone, but I'd reckon that plenty of people (me included) still bought the cd when it was released officially. Colin's heartfelt pleas were touching (so were Sleater-Kinney's), but please - we live in a digital age, not a bubble. Regarding the Elixirs DVD, I already had the VHS edition and chose to buy the DVD when it was released --- even though some nice feg on here made me a burned DVD culled from the VHS release. So I'm not a complete bastard. If I like it, I usually end up buying it. =jbj=, who decided not to buy "The Woods". ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 02 Sep 2005 23:06:21 -0400 From: wojizzle forizzle Subject: RE: Wow...eerie one time at band camp, michael wells said: >James: > > Funnily enough (or not) I keep getting bits of Led Zep's "When the levee >breaks" rolling through my head. > >A Memphis Minnie song, and an ominous one at that. Pronounced co'burn; think of a modern calvinist talking of a couple destined for perdition: "Oh, they'll co-burn for sure." cheers, Stewart ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 03 Sep 2005 19:27:38 -0400 From: wojizzle forizzle Subject: dimeadozen.org memberships dimeadozen.org, where a lot of robyn torrents are posted, has a membership cap of 100,000 members. normally, even with sweeps removing expired 100+ accounts daily, it can be fairly difficult to get an open slot to join up. however, right now, there are many accounts being removed due to the conversion from easytree to dimeadozen a few months ago. membership is currently around 97,000 so if you've been trying to get on the site, now is a good time to do so! woj ------------------------------ End of fegmaniax-digest V14 #213 ********************************
