I saw "Me and You and Everyone You Know" this weekend...yup, my first theater trip since "Return of the King." Good film, if a little precious. Was *amazed* to hear an old Virginia Astley instrumental playing over the closing credits -- I thought I was practically the only person on Earth who loved that album. My initial entry - slightly obscure, but still, a definite contender - was Glenn Rehse of Plasticland...but his hair has always been pretty much the same (imagine the hairstyle of Moe of the Three Stooges, only longer, only balding on top like Curly, and then dyed blonde, teased, and ratted all to hell). But then I realized, there's no contest, really: It's Ken Stringfellow of the Posies, with an unbroken string of two decades of truly terrible, awful hairstyles. I don't think you can have this contest without Bob Dylan. For most of his career he has looked like something crawled on top of his head and died there. Not only did he have the longest and spikiest but it was made even more ridiculous by his Welsh bricklayer features. Mind you, whilst looking for a picture of him to show Catherine, I came accross a snap of him with Bono in 1983 and that's definitely a contender too! Why is it necessary to always include a whole new box when all that's really being upgraded is the CPU? I mean, I know techy/handy people do this - but that the consumer market is geared toward replacing *everything* when that's so unnecessary, and wasteful (plus trashed computers are hard to properly dispose of)...well, I don't want to start another economic debate ;-) - -- ...Jeff The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 Aug 2005 09:19:03 -0700 (PDT) From: Jeff Dwarf Subject: Re: People get what they deserve - a new mouse!
