Shona Laing's "1905" was a big hit in NZ. Fripp did a whole series of instrumentals with titles from 1984 to 1989 on "Let the power fall", and Wings did "Nineteen hundred and eighty five", but you've got that covered. I take it you wouldn't count "Back in '64" by the Rutles or That "'39 whatever" song by Queen. Didn't Ash have a song called 1977, or was that just the album title? If so, David Bowie's official title for Aladdin Sane (the song, not the album) is "Aladdin Sane (1913-1938-197?)". Seems to kill two years you don't have covered. The Bad Plus did "1972 Bronze Medalist" That's all I've got. Just the album title -- The Clash handled "1977" as a song title. "I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it." -- Mitch Hedberg . Tired of spam? Yahoo! This show was supposed to have been broadcast on XM Radio, but I've never been able to find that source to make a sound comparison. This was a magic night for me: Halloween night in Greenwich Village at the legendary Bottom Line with Robyn Hitchcock and I was lucky enough to have a pick in my pocket for the man when he needed it. Great performance, great sound, pure magic. Many thanks to the original seeder and of course the taper (if they are not one in the same). And of course huge thanks to the mods and everyone who was kind and patient with me as a clueless newbie. I haven't given back nearly as much to the community as I've taken and hope to rectify that in the future. Expect my donation soon!
