From the news story, it wasn't made clear whether this was an intentional self-inflicted wound or an accidental one. I suppose, in Thompson's case, it could have been a little from column A and a little from column B (like Freddie Prinze, perhaps). Anyone have any better info on the exact nature of death? In that I am reaching a landmark birthday this year, I'm thinking of getting a landmark piece of machinery. Does anyone out there know anything about machines that can convert videos to DVDs? I've googled around, but there seems to be so much out there, and I can't always tell if the machines just play both videos and DVDs or if you can record a DVD from a video. You can e-mail me directly if you have any info. Thanks so much. Keep in mind that they employ loads of copy protection circuitry, so don't plan on dubbing store-bought DVD's or VHS tapes. - -tc ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Feb 2005 13:58:43 -0600 From: Sumiko Keay Subject: Re: Veronica Mars I hear that AH is going to be back on April 26th and may have an "arc" next season. I also read one of the TV Guide columnists who suggested that VM getting a second season was dependent upon AH being in it. Very enjoyable show. I was invited by a friend (who knew about my YLT obsession) and didn't know what to expect. When I saw the dB reference I remembered that it was mentioned here on the list. I have the amazing pleasure of opening the show for Robyn Hitchcock here in Northampton, Massachusetts, U.S. on March 28 at The Iron Horse Music Hall. I've been a fan of Robyn Hitchcock for as long as I've been a musician (forever, it seems) and this will be a super cool night for me. Also, because I am selling tickets to the show, I wanted to tell anyone here that might be going that you can save three bucks per ticket by getting them through my band's website since we don't charge the fee that the ticket place charges. You can get insider cheaper tickets here: http://www.schoolforthdead.com I don't want this to sound like a sales pitch (I'm not getting paid for selling tickets) I just want to let you know you can save a little bit. Here is a link to the posters for the show if anyone is interested: http://schoolforthedead.com/gallery/Posters/ironhorse03282005 http://schoolforthedead.com/gallery/Posters/ironhorse03282005dark_001 If any of you are thinking of coming to the show and you have any questions about the timing, the venue, or the area, please feel free to send me an email at henning@schoolforthedead.com and I'll try to help as best I can.
