I liked the AP headline re the coronary - I mean, coronation: something about Bush resolving to fight tyranny. And yet, he didn't resign. - -- ...Jeff The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Jan 2005 15:45:04 -0800 (PST) From: Benjamin Lukoff Subject: Kimberley's new album I might have missed it, but I don't think I saw any mention here of Kimberley Rew's new CD "Essex Hideaway." Just got it yesterday, and it's great--much better than "Great Central Revisited" and probably better than "Tunnel into Summer," too, as a whole, though "Simple Pleasures" remains one of my favorite Kimberley tracks. I also hear from BongoBeat that "The Bible of Bop" is going to be released on CD this fall with bonus tracks. Woo hoo! Ben Lukoff ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 22 Jan 2005 21:33:51 -0500 From: Jill Sunderlin Subject: White Album Benefit Tree Hey all who want a copy of this show, and at the same time, help out a very effective independent humanitarian medical aid group, here's what we've got going: Robyn Hitchcock and Heavy Friends The White Album Against the War Benefit 3 Kings, Clerkenwell London August 7, 2004 The show is in FLAC format, and the top level will be FTP downloads from my server. From there it goes on as usual, everyone will have a few people to make cd's for, how many branches, leaves, etc., depends on how many responses I get. ***AND I am also asking, to continue the spirit & purpose of the show, that everyone who participates send a donation to Doctors Without Borders/Midecins Sans Frontihres. I'll send that info out with the other necessary info once I get the tree organized. Information on FLAC is to be found here: http://flac.sourceforge.net/ TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS TREE: email me with this information (and PLEASE include "White Album" in the subject of the email so it gets sorted properly by my mail program): - --- your name, email address, snail mail address - --- whether you want to: 1) be a top level branch, and download the show through FTP (only recommended for broadband, there are a LOT of LARGE files), and then burn & mail some copies to the next level down folks 2) receive a cd and make copies for some others 3) just receive a cd, can't make copies All those lower in the tree should courteously return b&p (blanks & postage) or some such arrangement (not money!) to their branch. But remember --- we hope everyone will make a donation to Doctors Without Borders! Thanks to those who made this tree possible! jill of the trees ------------------------------ End of fegmaniax-digest V14 #17 *******************************
