Sure if you sneer at anything derivative, then you'll sneer at the Scissor Sisters. But they're fan in that bouncy camp early 70s Elton John way (in fact their first big single sounds to me like it was written at the same time as "Saturday night's all right for fighting"). But drrivative in itself is not a major crime if there's more to it than that, which there seems to be with the Scissor Sisters. Add another thumbs up. Actually, mid-70s extreme derivative seems to have been flavour of the month for the last two or three years, what with Marilyn Manson basically rewriting Jean Genie and the Darkness channelling the spirit of Freddie Mercury. >I hate to spread depressing news but this is really sad and is about someone >I really admire. > > hmm. I thought I'd passed that info on to the list, but it may have slipped through. James PS - forget the names Tyler and Jack... official permanent names have been found. Unfortunately an idiot dj talked at the beginning of each song. I've tried to clean as much as possible (on some songs cutting the first notes), this is the best result i got. Kingdom of love and Airscape are cut due to radio spot. I hope you like it however, it still remains a pleasure. for me the best concert of mr. Hitchcock. I've been collecting as much as i can get my hands on. i figured you could give me some suggestions of what I'm missing? i have: can of bees (w/ bonus) underwater moonlight (double disc) invisible hits raw cuts 1976-1981 rout of the clones are all the 45's different recordings than what appears on albums? are there any "lost" albums or hard to find items out there? is there any video footage? I'm just hungry for soft boys info and sometimes its hard to come across. i thought i would just cut to the chase and ask an expert on the subject. thank you very much for taking the time to read this and any info you could give me would be so appreciated. jeff loose Jeff Loose www.stylexohio.com The all-new My Yahoo!
