Russell" Subject: candidate We saw The Manchurian Candidate last night. It was good; tense and topical. Our boy Robyn did have a bigger role than I thought he had, and had a couple of lines. He does the faintly sinister thing very well. Was kind of hoping for a Robyn song in the soundtrack, but that was too much to ask for. It would, of course, be obvious if GWB had a mind-control implant. You'd hear it rattle every time he moved his head. I liked the movie and of course like Robyn in it. He looked younger, maybe from his Moss Elixir days, or ever before. Probably because of the dye job on his hair. > It would, of course, be obvious if GWB had a mind-control implant. You'd > hear it rattle every time he moved his head. Oh yeah? I thought he had one. We saw it last week; being a huge fan of the original, it was doomed to fail with me. I thought it was okay but forgettable. I had to see it for Robyn's part. SPOILERS BELOW - ----------------------------------------------------------- Was that the first time Bennet Marco had taken a shower since the Gulf War? Seriously dude, wash your back once in a while. Why did Rosie let Marco through at the election night event? It was made clear that he had been programed as well. Also, what a weird election night event, I thought Demme was from this country, has he ever watched television on election night? President Bush said the other day, 'It is a ridiculous notion to assert that because the United States is on the offensive, more people want to hurt us. We are on the offensive because people do want to hurt us.' I mean that is a perfect 'Bushworld' quote. It's not true and it's nonsensical. It's the opposite of what is true. His new campaign motto is 'America is safer. Be afraid, be very afraid.' Everything is an oxymoron." -- Maureen Dowd _______________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Express yourself with Y! Messenger!
