Since we're talking digitized vinyl/cassettes here... anyone got a copy of Pylon's CHOMP on disc? My digitizing capabilities were compromised before I laid hands on a vinyl copy. I feel pretty certain there are a few other "never-on-CD" records I've been looking for, but can't summon any to mind right now. I know someone on the list (John Hedges?) did a Robyn font, and I'd like to know how it's done. (I doubt I have the technical capacity to make a font myself, but I know people who do.) If you have any clues, please e-mail me privately. Thanks. n. _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself with the new version of MSN Messenger! Bill Nelson - Getting The Holy Ghost Across Carmel - The Drum Is Everything Trio - the first LP (I heard this just got reissued in Germany - includes an extra cd with the first EP and a bunch of demos) It could be that these have all seen CD release, but if so, they are LONG out of print now. =jbj= ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 30 Apr 2004 20:59:42 -0400 From: Jon Lewis Subject: Re: The Vinyl Countdown On Friday, April 30, 2004, at 05:21 PM, Eb wrote: > > The Electric Prunes/Underground > T. In any case, I've got that album on CD as well as Ride A White Swan, the latter on a strange Castle Communications comp of Late-Tyrannosaurus/early T. stuff called Bolan Boogie. Lemme know if you wanna trade stuff. > Art Bears/Hopes and Fears + The World as It Is Today (seem to kinda go > in and out of print on CD) > Got them. They are back in print now, but as part of a boxset where the other discs sound very missable. Years ago, Hopes and Fears had its own disc and Winter Songs shared one CD with World As It Is. Those are the editions I've got. Congratulations! My sister celebrates her 25th in June. And dammit, it gives me heart. At least 90% of my students (average age: undergrad) are from split families. They tell stories that shock me (easy to do, I've never married), you know, the evil stepmother, deadbeat dad, etc. Good on you Jill!
