Barbara Soutar, Caroline Smith and her husband Paul, and Randi Spiegel all braved our basement to listen to Luxor, and sample a variety of high-carb foods. I believe the concensus opinion on Luxor was that it was good. We listened to it through twice. Not bad for an extended personal love letter written on the eve of one's fiftieh birthday. Altough we did not eat weetabix and sing (which I'm told is customary at such things), we polished off a lot of almond-stuffed olives, houmous, cookies, ice cream, and Irn-Bru. I'm surprised people liked Irn-Bru as much as they did. There are pictures ... Stewart ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 27 Jul 2003 13:36:12 -0400 From: "Stewart C. We had -- and my parents probably still have -- The New Goodies LP (Goodies Theme / Please Let Us Play / Custard Pie / Cricklewood / Good Ole Country Music / Baby Samba / Rock With A Policeman / The Cricklewood Shakedown / Nappy Love / I'm A Teapot / Working The Line / Funky Gibbon / Wild Thing). What we had for about 15 minutes was "Nothing To Do With Us", which had rude words in it. I missed my birthday (which lies two days before my biological birthday - alas a few years after that one ...), but I'm already 10! Here's the proof: I don't remember any of the people who posted that day. I bet my postings/age quotient is pretty low. During the 90s I hardly posted at all, I think. Anyway, it's *your* birthday, so happy birthday to you! Yeah, I guess that's pretty rare. Meanwhile I've moved up in life and have shed the "spinfo"-subdomain ... so you can also reach me under Hagedorn@uni-koeln.de ;-) But that's mostly my work addy and I use the older one chiefly for private purposes. That's the advantage of working in academia and running your own mailservers ...
