Apologies for a really non RH post but I know that there are a lot of computer professionals on list. I need to find something that explains how software licenses work that would make sense to a non technical reader. This was originally my supervisors project but it's now my responsibility because I'm in charge of the membership database and also access to it (buying software, needing licenses, spending more $$). "How is the air up there?" and "Hey baby" were their biggest (and best) hits, although they had five singles in the NZ charts during the late 1960s. Formed just noth of Auckland in 1964, the changing line-up rotated around Phil Key and Kevin Borich. They produced (hm... at least) three albums between 1965 and 1968, including (1% Robyn content? ;) New Zealand's first concept album, "The happy prince". They went from R&B-ish stonesisms in their early years through Traffic-tinged hippiedom to typical 70s pub-rock in their last years. They finally disbanded in the mid-1970s. A CD best-of, heavily favouring their Stones-influenced early tracks has recently been released. Yes, he plays a "fanned fret" Novax eight-string guitar, with three bass strings and five guitar strings. He ends up being responsible for both the bass parts and guitar parts. I've seen him a number of times live, and he's truly amazing to watch. More importantly, though, he's got this hip, tasteful approach to jazz, and despite the fact that he's such an impressive player, he doesn't play to impress. I wonder what the definition of 'Nu' is, bearing in mind that 'Give it to the Soft Boys' was released in 1977 and Captain Beefheart's final album was released in 1982? - - Mike Godwin Nitpicking PS: I wouldn't describe Lonnie Johnson as country blues. He was a professional jazz and blues singer / guitarist from a musical family, who recorded with Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong, as opposed to a self-taught "folk" act. So are you saying that even if we continue bombing, there is a chance the "7 million people" won't starve this winter? Wow, we better be careful and not fuck this one up. But jesus fucking allah krishna blah blah as many insults, moses lovin shit, as possible, that is such a small number compared with how many we could actually kill with just a little more effort. And just starving? Thats nothing compared to the enormous amount of suffering we could bring with the process. A few strategically placed squiggly wiggleys and this could be a great winter for pictures. At least for us since the misery and suffering of others is what keeps Americans going. And since everyone else around the world is thinking of something besides starving Waseem and nothing is being organized by the Red Cross, Doctors without Borders, the UN, Iran, Pakistan, Russia etc... the piles of bodies could be huge.
