I think the story goes something like this: At the end of a Soft Boys show the Captain asked Robyn if he could come up and sing Sandra's Having Her Brain Out. Robyn asked Capt if he knew the words. Capt says "yes." He goes up there and starts screaming over and over again "Sandra's having her brain out!" but not with the music. Then he falls over and passes out drunk on the stage. They were friends ever since. Robyn appears on both of Captain Sensibles 1st 2 albums: Women and Captain First and The Power Of Love. Both are excellent, although I prefer the 2nd over the first. Women and Captain 1st: Robyn plays a beautiful 12 string guitar on Brenda and writes the lyrics to Croydon. I've often wondered if it is Robyn singing in the prelude to Croydon. Sure sounds like him. The Power Of Love: Robyn does much more on this record. He cowrote at least 3 of the songs and plays guitar or sings on many of the others. The song "Spider" is not to be missed. Very funky bass. Slick wah guitar (from Robyn). And incredible lyrics (also from Robyn) sung in harmony. There is a 45 of this with a cartoon by Robyn on the back cover. Geez this is all from memory...but... Robyn also cowrites "Secrets" "Hard To Believe I'm Not," and "Stop The World." I know he does backing vocals on the 1st track on the 2nd side. Lyrics start out like "My name in Andy, they say I'm randy. I'm filthy rich too, it comes in handy, for getting ladies, in far off places..." I like this songs lots. There is also a cover of Pink Floyd's (Wright) "It Would Be So Nice," of which Robyn does not appear. Also there are some slick pix of Robyn in a tux on the inner sleeve if you care. Both these albums are worth getting in my opinion. The Power Of Love is more dated of that early 80's pop sound, but I really dig it. >From: "Andrew D. (AP) - Lani O'Grady, who played Dick Van Patten's oldest daughter on the 1970s TV show "Eight is Enough," was found dead Tuesday. She was 46. O'Grady was found dead in her mobile home by a neighbor. The cause of death was under investigation, but there was no indication of suspicious circumstances, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said. O'Grady played Mary Bradford, the eldest daughter of newspaper columnist Tom Bradford on the ABC comedy-drama that aired from 1977 to 1981. After the show, O'Grady drifted away from acting, according to a story in TV Guide last year. Her mother, Mary Grady, was one of Hollywood's top children's agents, and her brother, Don Grady, played Robbie Douglas on "My Three Sons," which aired from 1960 to 1972.
