Time could change that (and maybe it will!) but being suddenly surrounded by flags hasn't done so. I feel a little out of place walking down the street, just the same as I would if everyone was responding by waving pictures of the Nike swoosh or the International Socialist fist or Miss Piggy or the Canadian flag or the Rolling Stones lips or the cover of Underwater Moonlight. All those things are iconic, at least to some degree, but none of them make me say "yeah, that's me. Those are my people." All of them have had their meanings defined for me, over time, by the people who've invested something in the symbol, and those meanings go far beyond the simple denotation the symbols have. I'm sure there are devoted pacifists who can't see the peace sign without thinking of greasy hippies. Same problem. I'll be really pissed if anyone takes this and presumes from it that they know what I think about the bombings. Then my question is, why are these folks the only ones who seem to be flying the flag? How did they get a monopoly? Who gave them this easy victory? Though actually they don't have a monopoly. For example, *I* have been known to fly the American flag, and I can guarantee I have more in common with you than I do with Pat Buchanan or Oliver North. (And I'm not just talking about our taste in neo-psychedelic English singer-songwriters.) Speaking of music: This is the first Tori Amos album I'm not planning to rush out and buy. I've previewed all the songs on CDNOW, and while they mostly sound okay (with the exception of "Heart of Gold" -- whodathunk I would actually prefer a Neil Young original to the cover?) I'm not really thrilled. And frankly I hate some of these songs ("I Don't Like Mondays" would make my bottom 10 of the 80s list if I had one). So I don't know what to do. I'm working on listening to the new Bis. So far I really dig the sound but it seems that their personalities are even more submerged this time around. I'll wait till I finish the album before I say more, but this may be another case of "I'd like it all right if it were an unknown band". If you like Rasputina -- hi Eb! :) -- you still probably don't want to drop $12.95 for their internet-only 5-song covers EP. Their "All Tomorrow's Parties" is pretty sweet, but Melora's voice is just not suited to "Rock 'n' Roll" (the Zep tune) or "Wish You Were Here." Oh well. I think it is all laughably absurd, to tell you the truth. You might not want to paint the entire list with such a broad brush, in light of your recent defence of Portlanders. I've been staying out of the fray basically because I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other. I know the U.S. has supported terrorist activities and I don't condone it. I also know that this world is fraught with complex ideological clashes that are not as cut and dry as the average Joe might think. (Ideology in this case includes the Capitalist lust usually attributed to the West.) I just don't think I have enough information one way or the other to jump into an argument, and quite frankly, I don't think the proper amount of information is available to me as a general citizen. There are quite a few people on this list that I've met and consider to be close friends. Some of those people have been quite nasty to each other this past week, and that saddens me. But it also reminds me of why I care so deeply for them; they are all smart people with strong feelings about a wide range of things, one of which is a certain English singer/songwriter. My hope is that as things calm down we will all remain friends and not forget how we all came to know, and care about, each other. The Illuminati celebrated it by offering their substitute "Goddess", Heidi Klum, to the public on re-runs of the TV show "Spin City". One re-run took place on Friday evening, September 7, as a "Vespers" service. On the feast day itself the Illuminati offered the first part of the Heidi Klum "Spin City" episode titled "Klumageddon". The second part of "Klumageddon" was shown one week later, on Saturday, September 15, 2001. "Klumageddon", part 1, was shown on September 8. "Klumageddon", part 2, was shown on September 15. Adding the two dates: 8 + 15 = 23, the number characteristic of the Illuminati. Averaging the two dates: ( 8 + 15 ) / 2 = 23 / 2 = 11.5, or 11, by rounding off. On September 11, the Twin Towers, looking like a giant 11, were brought down. Heidi Klum herself, born in Gemini, the Twins, was near the site of the disaster. So is the red five-pointed star (Star of Pythagoras) to the left. As Solomon Star at alt.conspiracy discovered, inside the Star of Pythagoras there is the figure of a woman holding an AK-47. In Masonic initiation lectures, the Pythagorean Theorem is referred to as the 47th proposition of Euclid. The Twin Towers used to present a giant number 11 in the skyline of New York. The AK-47 and the 11 of the Twin Towers: 4711 "4711" is the name of the Cologne, Germany, company that produces authentic Eau de Cologne. Heidi Klum's father used to work for this company. Heidi Klum herself was lured by the Conspirators to be near the World Trade Center on Tuesday morning at the time of the disaster. 4711: 4 + 7 + 1 + 1 =13 47 * 11 = 517 The number 517 contains the coordinates of Cologne, where Heidi is from: N. 51st Parallel and E. 7th Meridian Again, 5 + 1 + 7 = 13. This means that Cologne is on a diagonal "13" - Line. This Line runs parallel to the Rhine River and, if extended to the southeast it runs parallel to the Nile River in Egypt in the vicinity of Luxor and the Valley of the Kings. Extending this "13" - Line further to the southeast, it passes by Aden in Yemen, the site of the previous Osama bin Laden attack, that on the US Cole, on October 12, 2001, Columbus Day. In Spanish the surname Columbus is spelled Colo'n: Cole, Colo'n, Cologne Wednesday, September 12, 2001, was the 11-month anniversary of the US Cole incident. The Twin Towers, the giant 11, were hit on the 11th day of September. From the attack on the US Cole to Tuesday's attacks there were 10 months and 30 days, the hoofprints of 13 showing again. Heidi Klum's cover story in the September 2001 issue of "Mademoiselle" starts on page 130. This cover story on Cologne girl Heidi was written by a lady named Suzan Colo'n. - ------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Twin Towers attacked on a "twin" date, the 11th From: kansan1225@aol.com (Kansan1225) Newsgroups: alt.fan.letterman Date: Tue, Sep 11, 2001 8:11 PM The clandestine Luciferian Masons (CLuMs), also known as the Illuminati, who control the world today, chose the 11th day to conduct a massive human sacrifice in New Atlantis. The facts are: *** The Twin Towers of the World Trade Center used to look like a giant 11. *** The first airplane to hit them was Flight 11. *** Tomorrow is the 11-month anniversary of the attack on the US Cole in Aden, Yemen (October 12, 2000). Flight 11 was an American Airlines (AA) plane: AA stands for "Ancient of Ancients", the favorite phrase of Sir Francis Bacon, a very important Conspirator and the author of "The New Atlantis". Another recent airplane "accident" had the hoofprints of the double A: the sacrificial killing of the singer Aaliyah. The "twin" number 11 is important to the Conspirators because their "god", Lucifer/Satan, is supposed to have "twin" natures, a "good" one and a "bad" one. Over the last few months I have reported about the importance of the number 11 in Conspiratorial actions and have linked it with supermodel Heidi Klum, who was born in Gemini, the Twins. Heidi's official Web site in Germany: http://www.heidiklum.de opens with the letter H. The two vertical bars look very much like the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. (They also look like the twin strands of DNA.) If you click on the horizontal bar of the H (the words "Heidi Klum"), you are taken to another page that has a news ticker at the bottom. Today's news item, "Ohne Worte" (without words), transfers you to a page of the German TV channel RTL where it is stated that Heidi was scheduled to do a photoshooting near the World Trade Center today. RTL reports that Heidi indeed arrived there around the time of the attacks, but, thank God, she is OK. I would caution people in general to be careful again tomorrow (the 11-month anniversary of the attack on the US Cole) and Thursday, the 13th day of September. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 18 Sep 2001 14:46:29 -0700 From: "Andrew D.
