Not "misogynist" hate. Now you're getting it. Oh, come ON, Hal. You can enjoy Cerebus all you want and I won't think less of you -- seriously! But it just doesn't GET much more misogynist than those Tangents. I'm sorry. Those attitudes are the ones the term was invented for. But here you are moving from defending Sim as a demonstrably talented artist (which he may be, and I may never find out) to defending his views as less venomous than they appear to be. Are you sure you want to do that? Do you really feel that what he says in those essays is no more hateful than "a lot of women are really bad drivers"? > From: HAL > Subject: [comics] anti-sim rant > > http://www.tcj.com/233/report.html Eh. - -- Andrew D. The music was strong, but this was in the belly of roots-punk Orange County and the crowd was all about that greasy, tattooed, chain-smoking Social Distortion-fan vibe. Not my scene at all. Had a hard time ignoring the fumes, bad vibes and bad sightlines. Ran into an old friend I hadn't seen in about 10 years, though. She has a 14-year-old kid, now...yikes.
