Debt-control tactics won the day. So I'd like to second yesterday's request by a Feg named Runion to cut a deal with someone going to one of the West coast shows to send get me a "girls" SB t-shirt. The comic strip I currently despise is something whose title I can't even remember -- _The Big Picture_, or something like that. It features this irritating, obviously autobiographical character named Lennie (or maybe that's the cartoonist's name) who is one of these guys who is always "nice" to women and writes to advice columns complaining that women always go for "jerks." He feebly pokes fun at himself but the resulting picture is still loathsome. I read this cartoon only because I enjoy hating it so much. Drew - -- Andrew D. I like how his tapes sound, actually... sort of full and warm, where my DATs are clear and brighter. But that is a matter of preference. Should we upload MP3 versions of the tracks, for those without superfast connections? Detroit: My friend Scott got a great DAT of this. Sorry." Guys! Practice it! :-) Reading these tour diaries reveals a few things: (1) They are getting to know who we are! (2) It really was Tracy "Queen of Toast" Copeland that Aaron bought the toaster for. I was hoping to meet her at the show but she didn't appear. (3) There's this unfortunate separation between the fegs out in the audience and the folks backstage. I didn't see any way in Chicago to meet up with the band and entourage (which clearly included Tracy), although Morris did put in an appearance in the crowded hallway. You get the impression that Matthew, at least, would really like to get together with us -- at least to put names to faces. Some venues encourage audience/musician interaction (the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco), while others are so cramped and crowded as to make it nearly impossible (the Metro).
