She said the Austin Music Hall, where the Soft Boys will play at 10:00Pm on Saturday March 17th, is big but will probably fill up fast. The walk-up price is determined by each venue individually but usually runs between 10 and 20 bucks. Show up early, get a ticket and don't expect them to let you out and back in during the show. That is all. And what is the latest on the Portland Show? The RH site says April 5, Pine Street. Does anyone know how to contact this place? I actually bought this one just to test it out. It sucked! Big time! A headphone jack has a preamp and is not made for plugging into an amp. I tested its recording capablities as well. Didn't stand up to the Sony model that I had for years and unforunately broke. The Sharp was cool looking, small and all, had better headphone volume than the Sony, but over all, it sucked. I took it back and bought another Sony. If you can find one used, I'd say go for it. I've heard lots of problems from folks with Sharp portlables. Oh, and I have the same deck as you. It's great and you'll notice that Sony doesn't put out decks with those features (particularly digital in and out) at that price point at all anymore. Also, that deck has a known problem where it flips out after a couple of years and starts just ejecting or not ejecting disks and cycling between READING TOC and EJECTING or something like that. It has a bad microswitch and a poor mechanism for tripping said switch. It can easily be repaired with diligence, a tiny screwdriver, and some electrical tape. (Vivien helped with the tape.)
