I tried unsuccesfully for a couple of minutes to find one of my older CDs. They used to have notices on them that, if I recall correctly, warned against temperatures below 0F and above 140F. Now (at least CDR media) cautions against "excessive heat and humidity." I think one of the few things no one will dispute is that the more heating/cooling cycles you subject your discs to, and the more extreme (and rapid) the variation, the faster your discs will die.
