OK, now thats out the way, the introductory facts are for now: The first RH album bought was Fegmania, I think after seeing him on the Old Grey Whistle Test. The vinyl collection went forwards and backwards from this point until Respect which was the first CD purchase. The last time I tried to see RH live was around the time of Globe of Frogs but I only managed a bit of the sound check. I live in Wiltshire which contains XTC's chalk hills and J Cope's stone circles (Silbury Hill and West Kennett longbarrow are haunts of mine). So I guess it's true, I really didn't learn anything in the 10th grade. (Pink Floyd lyrics were my last possibility.) It's almost June and so it's almost time to see the fegs again. Here's what I'm wondering: Who's coming up from the bay area to Portland/Seattle and how do they plan to travel? Who's going to the NYC show(s) and what are their plans? Viv and I started thinking about LJ's cool happenings in NYC and stuff today and we found some good airfare, so we were thinking of heading off to the Big Apple for a few days, just for fun. We're looking for a cheap hotel because, quite frankly, we feel like asking a feg at this point is kind of undue burden (i.e. they feel obligated to say yes) and we found good airfare. But I had an interesting idea... I think we'd like to rent a car for a day and drive down to SanFran... then fly from SFO to NYC, stay for a few (maybe fivish) days, then fly back to SanFran for the shows there and either rent a car alone or with other fegs or whatever to come up to Portland the next day. See, it's much cheaper and easier to fly SFO to NYC than PDX to NYC, so it works out really well. That's just a thought, anyway. We're close to decided but it will depend on the details... and I'd like to get those worked out today and tomorrow. So who's already got plans? Whee. And you're quite welcome. Our plans will include Portland and Seattle and a drive between. Excellent.
