I agree with this one. I love the line about the bastards that destroy our lives. Another "down" song choice would have to be "When You're Dust" from _Respect_. I also detect a sense of emotional longing, if you will, in "Love" from BSDR, "Falling Leaves" from _Invisible Hitchcock_ and "Rain" from _Gr(oo/a)vy Dec(a/o)(y)_. > Today's mp3 mix: Dire Straits, Robyn, Neil Young, Velvet Underground and > Grateful Dead. It was a real hoot, and I thoroughly recommend it. My biggest problem with it? Not a single Soft Boys record to be found in that record store. Not one! The Soft Boys weren't even in a single top-five list, either. Sheesh. Five best songs about lamps? Five best heavy metal death folk bands? Five best quirkly English cult songwriters? Five most fidgety lead guitarists? I don't doubt, however, that there was a sequence with some collector scum type trying to buy a copy of "They Day They Ate Brick" they had behind the counter, but it probably ended up on the cutting room floor. I bet it made it to the DVD, though. Not that I'd know anything about such behavior, of course.
