It's only the village of Ashurst Wood. - Mike Godwin ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Jan 2000 10:48:30 -0500 (EST) From: Natalie Jacobs Subject: ignorant question I've been wondering for years... I think Pete Townsend first coined the term when asked what kind of music the early Who played. "Classic" power pop would be melodic pop with emphasis on vocal harmonies and guitar hooks. As far as I'm concerned, "No Matter What" by Badfinger is the perfect power pop song. - - Steve _______________ We're all Jesus, Buddha, and the Wizard of Oz! - Andy Partridge ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Jan 2000 16:57:51 -0500 From: "jbranscombe@compuserve.com" Subject: rew news Fuckin' Kimberley 'Muppet Of God' Rew is finally releasing his solo album, Tunnel Into Summer on US label Gadfly Records on March 21.
