The novel dmw is refering to is _Time Of The Hawklords_ and was really written by Michael Butterworth, expanding on an idea Moorcock had. That's just because I chose these songs to take advantage of the full band & Kimberly. I would absolutely die to hear that first song on the list, and any one of the first three done with Robyn & Kimberly & The Band Formerly Known as Homer would in and of itself make my evening, if not month. Child of the Universe isn't exactly a standout on P.I., but I think it could be a fine, fine song with the heaviosity of 2 or 3 guitars wailing away. Satellite would be good done in the way it's done on Cambridge Folk Fest, and I've just always wanted to hear Birdshead live. I think that it would translate well to a full band, and with Tim and Kim harmonizing. - -Michael Wolfe ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 13 Oct 1999 11:59:15 -0700 (PDT) From: John Barrington Jones Subject: Tour Wish List (for compiler Eddie) Swirling =jbj= ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 13 Oct 1999 15:14:41 EDT From: DDerosa5@aol.com Subject: hmmm. He was cooking for both of us at the time -- he was our saucier, and he wore this nice but kind of weird waitressy outfit. He had his hair up in a nice bun. It worked out rather nicely. Mike Chunn has also written a guidebook to the ins and outs of the legal/managerial side of the NZ music scene, but its title eludes me. ISTR hearing of others, but who they are...? Possibly Phil Judd? Shona Laing? Bruce Russell? Damnit I'm going to have to look this up... James *I know, Terrence. But sometimes it has just one frame, sometimes more than that. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Oct 1999 16:18:14 +1200 From: digja611@student.otago.ac.nz (James Dignan) Subject: Re: fitba & Randi (odd combination...) >Just to undermine that - Tell me again , why the fuck do you call it the >World Series????? It's good to see my town of birth's team four points clear at the top of England's division 3, too! As to 'several of our rejects', one of them is a fellow Dunedinite (John Leslie). General feeling is that if he'd waited a few more months he'd have been a shoe-in for the ABs. Don;'t know him personally though (although I've met Josh Kronfeld a few times - he surfs at the beach 400m from where I live). Oh, and Tim, if you're out there with your : >I should stop now - I'm ranting - I know this list is >for Robyn H. - so I don't want to overstay my >welcome. don't be daft. The *last* thing anyone ever talks about on this list is Robyn. We're all of us very concerned about the delightful Ms Spiegel, so rant away as much as you want!
