Here's the situation... Next Wednesday, I'm going to get my own tickets to this Music Against Brain Degeneration Revue thingie here in Portland. I'm getting some for myself and immediate friends, two for my good coworking friend MikeV. and his friend. Do any travelling kids need tickets picked up? Second, I'm planning right now to leave for Seattle somehow Friday afternoon the twenty-third. I haven't made definitive plans, but I'm hoping a couple of standing offers of places to sleep are still open. I'm also kind of counting on the Deborahs or someone similar to drive down to Portland on Sunday morning the twenty-fifth. So... here are my thingies: Does anyone else want to go to Seattle with my on Friday to see the two Robyn shows? Does anyone want to offer me a place to sleep (Right now, I'd like to take up the Deborahs very kind hospitality, but I'd like to have a backup)? Does anyone want to head back down from Seattle to Portland for the Sunday night show at some point after the Saturday night show? Does anyone want to get tickets for the two Seattle shows for me and three tickets to the Friday night show for our dear expat former Portlander Canadian lovely feglady (I'll cover all costs until such time as said researchers can reimburse, so you're not out the hundred bucks or whatever)? Lemme know what's up. You accuse me of writing the Ewok National Anthem!" Partridge yelps, in obvious distress. "Please, no! I've had a lot of people accuse that track of being very Arabic; but it's very pagan, very English. There's a slight dromedary whiff about the percussion, admittedly; but it goes no further east than Norwich. And no Ewoks were involved." - - Andy Partridge, commenting on a description of "Greenman". ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 26 Jun 1999 00:45:44 EDT From: Fpaux@aol.com Subject: Re: fegmaniax-digest V8 #219 Hello, I'm a very in frequent feg writer, please have mercy on me. I recently acquired R.H.s tour dates for my region (Mich). But I'm having trouble finding out very much more information. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also have lots of room for any Midwestern tour travelers. Sadly, I have to admit that I have not seen Storefront yet. I haven't been able to find it playing here.Thanks. GLOBE OF FROGS was probably the apotheosis of his biology obsession. he's commented that it was all starting to get a bit much, and that he was almost becoming a parody of himself. so, he's said, he's been trying to become "more human" (i believe he actually said that in the '93 Rolling Stone feature). he's asked about it from time to time, and says he likes to think he's maturing as a songwriter, to the point where he's now able to write more emotional songs. i also recall him having said in an interview, i believe it was early '96, that he writes about things that interest him at the moment, and that, consequently, the next album would have lots of stuff about kiosks and dials. he mentions crabs on SPECTRE. here are the "fish" references on capuch'n's search engine: . of course, this doesn't account for other creatures of the sea, or specific species of fish (i.e., Bass). but i don't sea anything after EYE. (in fact, the EYE lyrics aren't up, which is why you don't see any references from EYE itself.) no hits for "sturgeon", by the way. well, this reminds me of an hilarious conversation i heard yesterday. there was a big party having lunch at the restaurant, and, for quite some time, they were talking about the speeds of various water dwellers. the main point of contention was that one guy thought sea turtles were fast, and one other guy thought that sea turtles were not fast. i mean, they were really getting pretty worked up about it. manta ray, porpoise, tuna, bass, squid, and probably some others were all brought into the picture as well, but all were used as artillery in the principle argument: the sea turtle is (or is not) fast. i laughed out loud at several points. here's an excellent article about jamie shea's schoolboy days: . _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
