Aw come on, suspend your disbelief a little. Anyway, that >assumes that beings in a 'galaxy far far away' live to the same age as >humans and age in the same way! When you go faster than light, you would end up back in time relative to someone going slower than light. Thus, if you're zipping through hyperspace, you're going to end up in the "past." Episode I probably takes place *after* Epsiodes IV - VI, at least relative to some of the citizens of the galaxy that never travel FTL. So, there could be better technology in Episode I than in the first film (of course, there's no reason to think technology spreads out equally in a galaxy anymore than it does on this planet - the Trade Federation aliens could just be more advanced - or just richer - than the Empire - compare the US military to Thailand's). As a result of all the time travel inherent in FTL, Luke *could* be Anakin's father. Well, could be if Anakin wasn't the virgin-birth "chosen one" (haven't heard that term used in a sci-fi flick since 'The Matrix' - how startlingly original). In fact, different events could take place IN DIFFERENT ORDERS to different travelers. The Han Solo in carbonite block could bump into young Obi Wan in Episode II. So, yeah, Palpatine could age 100 years to someone else's 30. Heck, nearly-as-fast-as-light (relatively) time dilations alone could explain the "inconsistencies" in the aging process. Just jumping to "light speed" would mean that if zero seconds pass on the Falcon, 200,000 years could pass on Naboo. In an agreement with Digital On-Demand, record stores will be outfitted with equipment allowing customers to find music not currently on the shelves and have it transferred to a CD in the store while they wait. "This technology aims to minimize lost sales at retail while extending the reach of our artists' music by providing consumers with an all-access pass to the Sony Music catalogue," said Ron Urban, senior vice president of Sony Music. Customers would be able to receive the music in a variety of formats, including CD, DVD, MiniDisc, or have it installed directly onto a digital music player. Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time. Long time. I had two of his records, "Romeo Unchained" and "Notes From A Lost Civilization". I think both were released on What? Records. I actually bought RU four times, due to thievery, absent-mindedness, and hungry tape players. I saw Tonio live at Cornerstone '84, and he forgot the words to one of his songs while on stage. It was kinda odd. Anyway, I really dug the two tapes that I had (especially RU), though I haven't heard them for years. I honestly had no idea that Mr. K. was still kickin'. After a little consideration, that makes me happy. :) Paul Christian Glenn | "Besides being complicated, trance@radiks.net | reality, in my experience, is http://x-real.firinn.org | usually odd." - C.S. I haven't listened to it in a long time, but IIRC, I was rather taken by the music. The lyrics are witty and intelligent and, at times, his cynicism reminds me of Graham Parker. "Romeo Unchained" is the critical favorite and the closest thing to a commercial success Mr. K ever had. I don't own it, and to be honest with you can't recall ever hearing anything from it. The other Tonio K stuff I've heard has left me cold (an "ehh" on the Eb rate'o'meter). Apparently, his stuff these days tends toward the Gospel end of the spectrum.
