Has anyone heard an advanced copy? > I have. I've been listening to it at work. It's, well, different. I'm falling in lurve with it though, a song at a time. The first 3 songs at least are fucking great. There are almost no guitars on the album though, which is why it's kinda hard to accept, at least for a Flaming Lips record. However, I like it more each time I hear it. A: That'd be me. At the last Storefront gathering in Berkeley some of us had talked about the headaches faced in trying to organize people around the occasional Feg event in the bay area, and the idea of a local list for dealing with just such issues seemed to be well received. I've set up a sfbayfegs@onelist.com just for this purpose. So no more scouring ancient emails to make sure everyone's been informed of the details of our latest adventure, and no more hassles when an email address changes. I've sent out info to the most up-to-date list of Fegs in the area that I have; if I've missed people, or you're just curious about it, check out http://www.onelist.com/subscribe/sfbayfegs Next up: the hoopla surrounding the visit of lj and the quail! - - Chris (who are you calling a splitter!?) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Jun 1999 20:00:33 -0400 (EDT) From: Natalie Jacobs Subject: My five-step plan for world domination begins here! Hey! I am now an official, bona fide DJ for WCBN, Radio Free Ann Arbor and can play anything I want to an audience of milli^H^H^H thou^H^H hundreds!! I can be heard via RealAudio from 6-9am EDT every Sunday at least till the end of the summer. Just point your browsers to www.wcbn.org. In the interests of satisfying one of my musical fetishes, I'm planning on doing a Nick Drake tribute show on June 20th. Towards that end, I was wondering if anyone could make me a copy of "I Saw Nick Drake" and send it to me ASAP. I can reimburse shipping and tape costs, and will send a delightful tinfoil creation by way of compensation. Please let me know privately. Thanks. n., still geeked ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Jun 1999 21:17:28 -0400 (EDT) From: Ross Overbury Subject: OT - Anyone got King's Quest VI? I picked it up for a buck at my favourite cheapie CD store in NY, and now I've discovered that you need a code sequence from the handbook to get anywhere. My daughter's itching to play this one. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 05 Jun 1999 02:24:56 -0400 From: **twofangs** {randi} Subject: paintings by robyn Okay.. I just left the "Museum of Robyn" and saved the two paintings that were on the site. But once upon a time...in a galaxy far far away........... I had all RH's paintings on my computer. Randi's computer crashes. Why didn't I make a floppy disk copy you ask? Well, I did. Problem -- the disk is at my parents house. I was kind of {Kind Of!!"} mentally and physically abused at my parents place. I'm in a *no talking* situation since my car accident -- well, I would talk -- they don't understand the situation I was in {I could be smushed or something!} -- thus -- parents not talking to Randi. So, my dear fegs...if anyone has a clue as to where the rest of Robyn's paintings are, please let me know -- on or off-list is okay by me ;-} Also, it was lovely to have so many emails welcoming back. I'm going in for surgery on Monday -- I sort of *forced* the doctor, citing that lying in a hospital bed was not conducive to the state my mind. So, if anyone remembers, think positive thoughts for me on Monday.. And all the people who wrote to me, a.s.a.p. I shall return your kind words. Oh, and I need snail mail and email addies of wonderful fegs -- so please -- I love getting email so write, write, write. :-} fading back into yesterday before tomorrow comes, Randi ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 5 Jun 1999 03:03:20 EDT From: DDerosa5@aol.com Subject: SH in Orlando...
