Okay -- a big breath -- it's Friday at 6:30 pm Toronto time -- actually, it's easier for me to write this than to explain it...though I'm crying now...but...um...I have no idea how to say this. So -- here is deal. I haven't been able to eat in about a month Been in the hospital for red blood cell transfusions Dropped down to 100 pounds {I'm 5'2" -- 'cause of the Crohn's disease doctors want me to be 120} My doctor wanted me to come to emergency...but considering I've had Crohn's for 20 years, and the disgusting, ridiculous, horrible, unfair way the "Premier of Ontario" has dealt with the issues of education and hospitals... {Ross -- my Nanny --who lives in an apartment at the corner of Cote-St.-Luc Road and Cavendish says the hospital conditions in Montreal are equally as bad} Oh my G-d, there is a Mike Harris re-elect commercial on right this second!! I believe he would be the equivalent of a Republican in the States -- His party is "The Conservatives," Sorry, didn't mean to go off on a tangent ... I would have gone to the hospital -- but there are __*no*__ beds. I'd have to stay in ER until Monday at the earliest. So -- I am waiting for the weekend to pass -- hopefully there will be a bed available on Monday -- and when one comes available -- either Tim or I will let you all know. But -- I have stacks of thank-you cards to send....and no addresses. I figure if I'm in the hospital, hopefully I'll have the strength to write back the snail addy way.
