Frankly, I always suspected that Dave Gilmour was really just a cruel, heartless guy at heart who got his jollies by playing mind games with emotionally disturbed, Carl Palmer-obsessed women. What Jason says is quite true with respect to some (note "some", I'm not saying this is at all a mainstream Christian view). Oftentimes "Satanic" is not necessarily doing Satanic rituals or literally "worshipping Satan" or anything as it simply means "not Christian" (or even in some very extreme cases- "not the kind of Christian -I- am", usually this refers to Catholics but not always). So the use of the term is a bit, er, looser than some would like, as it basically includes most of the planet :). I am especially amused when I see people tarred as "Satanic" whose belief systems do not even include the existence of such a being (many Eastern religions, for example). Namely, I attended a show Robyn Hitchcock gave at the Ark in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on April 14, 1995. I went with a friend who is well placed in Ann Arbor's music scene and he managed, via mysterious machinations, to obtain cassettes of both sets that were made directly from the main soundboard. Although there is a little bit of a hum at around 10 or 20 KHz, the overall sonic quality is wonderful, and, of course, Robyn put on a fantastic show (including a great rant about clusters). As I am a novice to tape trading, I'm not sure exactly how these things work, but having grown up idolizing Bob Dylan, I would be immensely interested in obtaining a copy of Robyn's Dylan at Albert Hall tribute show. So, is this possible, and if so, how do we go about it?
