Actually, in an interview I read after ME/ML were released, Robyn said that he liked the tracks on Moss Elixir better than those on Mossy Liqueur. His words were something to the effect of "you'll lick the candy off of the Mossy Liquor tracks more quickly." This is not to dispute the possible reasons behind the QE demo seedings. Hell, he released a whole album full of demo tracks (Groovy Decoy) because he disliked the "official" release. However, from things he's said about Moss Elixir, it seems he had almost total control over the creation and studio production (much like "I Often Dream of Trains") and was very happy with the album. Even though I dig the violin on the Mossy Liqueur version of "Beautiful Queen", I much prefer the Moss Elixir version, because of Jake Kyle's deft and driving bass, and also for the sublime tremolo guitar voicings over the chorus. <~~~Buckeye~~~> ***************************************************************************** "...everythings all on...it's rosy...it's a beautiful day!"--Syd Barrett ***************************************************************************** ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 23 Oct 1997 22:45:37 -0500 From: LSDiamond Subject: Re: Potential for Money -- NOT!!! duly noted!
