He was shot, and the entire episode was spent in a retrospect with Magnum hanging around his friends (Higgins, T.C., Rick) as a ghost that no one could see. I think not! I'm just back from spending the weekend in Pacific Grove California - mere yards from the site of the sudden demise of Mr. Denver (so cunningly linked to Robyn by our very own Terrence Marks). On the way down I heard a radio interview with the despised Mr. Sartwell (on one of the CBC shows which are rebroadcast down here, I think) -- yet another link to the world of Fegmainia. ...if only I'd been able to put these links together then, that fateful plane trip might have ended differently. Should I be surprised that the lead crash investigator goes by the name of Fane... From what I heard on the radio, I'd say that Mr. Sartwell has his tongue inserted firmly in his cheek. The interviewer asked him whether he made up these so-called laws to justify his own personal taste in music - you could hear the ;) as he replied that on the contrary these are absolutely rigorous application of the scientific method to take the guesswork out of rock criticism. Yeah right. More soon. ~N ------------------------------ End of fegmaniax-digest V6 #36 ******************************
