Not true. www.firefly.com is one of those marketing sites that tries to match up your consumer preferences with different products they think you would like, based on user surveys. For example, if YOU like Robyn Hitchcock, and so do these other 30 people who filled out the questionaire, then you will also like these three bands, this book, and here let's throw in a rotisserie chicken. This is indeed an odd shirt for Robyn to be wearing, especially since he claims to know very little about the Internet. I have the same shirt, by the way!!! (I got it at a firefly-sponsored party) I'll give it to the first person who offers me a Galaxie 500 boxed set, okay? Not true. www.firefly.com is one of those marketing sites that tries to match up your consumer preferences with different products they think you would like, based on user surveys. - ---------------------------------------------------- Actually, both are true. "Firefly" is the AMC/Eitzel site -- but it's address is http://www.fragment.com/firefly/. (vaguely interesting aside - -- WB put that URL in the liner booklet for Eitzel's new album, West, but there was a typo that made it unuseable!) Unfortunately, the site's been down for months, which is really a shame because the info contained there is definitive for AMC and Eitzel. The only other fan site about AMC or Eitzel that I can find is called Mission Rock, at http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Towers/5065/eitzelh1.html. And, then, there's http://www.firefly.com/, which is as lj described. Great great great to have Fegmaniax back. Thank you Woj and smoe, and welcome back to my inbox everyone! A yellowed envelope found its way mysteriously to my mailbox this very morning, and its contents were truly glorious. It is a sign of the coming battle. lj's journey to Stonehenge was merely a portent. The post office neglects to hold my mail. The Newspaper fails to stop delivery. And fegmaniax! springs back in action. I tossed the newspapers (four straight days of nothin' but bad news in the local sports sections), back-burnered the mail (bills bills bills) and am having a wonderful time catching up on the feglist e-mails, even if most of them are just "great to have everyone back" posts. Like this one. - -russ ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 17 Sep 1997 13:48:35 -0700 (PDT) From: misplaced joan of arc Subject: bay area fegs There's some band called Gingus Prawn playing New George's in San Rafael this weekend. A name like this is far too relevant to the ole feg list - had to mention it. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 18 Sep 1997 02:03:49 -0400 (EDT) From: Bayard Subject: innocent boy lyrics Anyone able to catch the last line? The only think I was able to guess that made any sort of sense was "angel of the decade, you flash so coy". Perhaps it's a British expression my ears can't receive.
