I hit the "Create Room" button & typed in "Robyn Hitchcock" when it asked me to name the room. AOL flung this message window at me that said "'Robyn Hitchcock' and other vulgarities are not acceptable room names." I ended up having to call the room "Robyn Hitchcck." Oh my. Chao) Subject: Going to the shoot on Tuesday I will also be attending the filming/taping on Tuesday morning, Dec. 10. Fortunately I live on 9th Street, a few blocks from the venue. The main question is will the crew be shooting film or video? I was at the VH-1 "Storytellers" taping with Elvis Costello and they had to break every few minutes to reload. The delays really put Elvis off. See everybody there, wearing dark clothes. TXC ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Dec 1996 05:36:24 -0500 (EST) From: Stephen C Ellis Subject: Robyn Hitchcock on Acoustic Cafe Hi there, I thought I would pass along that Robyn will be the featured spotlight artist on this weekend's edition of the nationally syndicated radio show, Acoustic Cafe. The show will be devoting about 30 minutes of program time to spotlight some of Robyn's recent work and will feature mostly live and rare tracks. The song lineup for the spotlight is the following: "Wide Open Star" - Taken from "Mossy Liquor" "De Chirico Street" (Live) - Robyn and Deni performing live in the studio from April 1995 "All Right, Yeah" - An all acoustic version (and NOT the A&M era version and NOT the Moss Elixir version and definitely NOT the Swedish Mossy Liquor version). "Arms of Love" (Live) - Robyn and Deni again from April 1995 "Eight Miles High" - The A&M/SYTYIL single version The playlist for this show is featured at the Acoustic Cafe web site (www.acafe.com) and you can also e-mail the show at "acafe@ic.net". In addition, for all non-US list members, the show is carried on the Voice of America radio network, so you should be able to find a frequency in your region that broadcasts VOA. I got a call from a guy named (appropriately) Steve last night. He said it was Tuesday and Wednesday of next week at 10 AM-- 25 West 14th Street. He said go under an awning and you'll see a door. He asked me if I wanted to bring a friend, and I said yes (so if my friend Nanci can't go, one of you guys is welcomed to take the spot). It sounds kind of loose, though, so if you *didn't* get a call back, I imagine you could just kind of go hang around there and see if they let you in. Don't know nuthin about no Nevadans though... lj ------------------------------ From: firstcat@lsli.com Date: Thu, 5 Dec 96 14:14:38 Subject: RE: The Film (I got called back!) Well, I don't know who Ros is, (hi Ros if you are reading this,) but my name is Randi (in case y'all didn't notice). So, Eric called me Wednesday night and said I could come either Tuesday or Wednesday. I will be going on Tuesday. The only glitch is that my financial situation sucks...and I haven't figured out how to get to New York and how I'm going to afford to stay anywhere. But, I'll be there, I'm so happy that I get to be a part of the film, and that I'll see Robyn doing a concert in a (hopefully) small setting. I really would like to know who is going to be there on Tuesday. I have a distant cousin in NYC, but that's it. I would love to met up with other fegs while I'm there. Let me know! You can e-mail me directly at < spiegel.all@sympatico.ca > Take care everyone!
