I left the PJ Harvey list over this same issue: too many priggish "nothing but PJ or I'll moan and pout" posts. There will never be a Mariah Carey argument on this list, because no one here has any significant interest in her. (I THINK!) However, it's perfectly likely that a Robyn fan could be a Brian Wilson fan, so why NOT discuss Wilson for two days out of the 365 days of the year?? Just because it ain't Robyn, doesn't mean it's not a common interest. LOVE that line about the "melodramatic departure." While I found the BW discussion BORING, it was never offensive. Requiring Robyn Content is as absurd as demanding Canadian Content (inside joke). The personal attack on Kay, however, was offensive. The fact that no one mentioned it was even more appalling. The fact that Livia rarely posts, yet found it important to post *that*, was creepy. These were the vibes that caused my fegsister to quit, I imagine, and I happen to think that the tone of the list at that time may have brought out the worst in some. Hope I spelled everything right. Robyn went into "Heavy" rotation this week and is receiving 24 spins a week. In addition to "Alright, Yeah," we are also playing "Sinister," "Devil's," "Filthy Bird," "Queen," "I Am Not Me," and "De Chirico." In other words, it's safe to say we're "supporting" the album! We're also looking to add at least a couple of tracks from Mossy to the list as well (and just so you don't think all of us in radio land are treated special, I had to go BUY the damn thing for the station!). Can y'all tell we're fans? BY THE WAY!!! Any Fegs out there who listened to the RealAudio Robyn interview recently might be interested in our station. We broadcast our signal, live, in real time, over the internet 24 hours a day via RealAudio. We got a request for Robyn last week from Manchester, England!
