Homer is a jingly jangly band that I have had the opportunity to see around town a few times in the recent months. Their sound is very enjoyable. They opened for Robyn at both the Borderline gig back in December and the third gig at the 12-bar club in January. This description is from their web page: http://www.foresight.co.uk/homer/index.html Homer features members and ex-members of Ringo, The Sundays, The Blue Aeroplanes and The Lazy House. Parts of Homer have gigged or toured with the Blue Aeroplanes, Lemonheads, Trash Can Sinatras, The Bible, Boo Hewerdine, Del Amitri, Robyn Hitchcock, They Might Be Giants, The Auteurs, etc. so you may recognise some faces. -- mark mckeown Mark McKeown Reds News: New Cincinnati Manager 16 Wellington Court Ray Knight has to share space with Mayfield Road the team mascot on the cover of the London W12 9LU Reds' media guide, but he's still ahead England of the team's last two managers. The Home: 011 44 181 743 0164 cover of the '96 guide features a Work: 011 44 181 742 2422 collage of photos, with team owner Internet: redsfan@dircon.co.uk Marge Schott in the center of the top row staring down at a photo of Schottzie 02, the team mascot. The last two managers, Tony Perez and Davey Johnson, failed to make the cover of the guide. Schott was unhappy with her photograph and wondered why so many media guides had to be printed according to an employee. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 20 Mar 1996 10:34:55 -0600 From: gokhman@zakuski.math.utsa.edu (Dmitry Gokhman) Subject: craving for netsurfer ghost I've been away from the list for a long while, but now that I am back I am developing a strong craving for netsurfer ghost. Can anyone confirm this? And does anyone know who played on this record? sleeve says "An offbeat recording produced by Hitchcock at Matrix, October, '79" if that helps. -russ ps-Any word yet on a Sex Beatles reunion tour? ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 20 Mar 1996 12:04:52 -0600 (CST) From: VERMIN-IN-TRAINING Subject: Robyn sang Alanis in Houston ...no, not really, but I figured that would get everyone's attention...hehehe....
