Very much appreciated, Stephen seesaw@ezl.com ------------------------------ From: "Lupecheese" Date: Wed, 13 Mar 1996 09:44:22 GMT-5 Subject: a sign! hey Last night I was sitting at my keyboard at work working (I key applications for members of a c.d. mailing club that some of you have probably heard of) and I had an exciting moment. I came across an application of a guy named (not making it up) Shadow T. Catt from New Jersey ( I think). Now I thought that this had to be some kind of sign (i.e. well hey the new album really must be coming out sometime this year) but nobody else at work cared. Thought I'd share that wih you though. Not to sound like a know-it-all or anything but I pulled out my Camper Van Beethoven last night and gave it a whirl and it only took one listen to see that it is indeed, "Everyday I get up and pray to Jah, and he increases the number of Mucky the Pigs by exactly one." Don't argue with me. shane ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 13 Mar 1996 08:25:06 -0800 (PST) From: Griffith Davies Subject: Bummed out.... I just found out that I will not be able to attent the LA Show next tuesday :-( I guess that I will have to wait and read all about it. Any tapers goin'? Wow, I just got off the phone with someone from KCRW in Santa Monica. He told me that Robyn will be on Monday Night (03/18/96) at 10:00pm. He will be on the program Brave New World hosted by Tricia Hollaran. I do not know if he will be performing or not, but he will be there. You have been warned... ______________________________________________________________ Griffith Davies griffith.davies@csun.edu ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Mar 1996 16:36:18 +1200 From: james.dignan@stonebow.otago.ac.nz (James Dignan) Subject: divers alarums >5. Is there something special about squid prepared in the >Victorian manner that actually would cause you to want more, even when >you've already had lots? Or are people just supposed to react that way to >squid in general? more importantly, is it Victorian as in (a) "pertaining to the years 1837-1901"; (b) "relating to a city on Vancouver Island"; or (c) "connected with a state in Australia"? "Yes" is not a viable answer. >PS-- policemen only sing if they're in the mood. Which they rarely are, thank God. Anyone remember "Cop Rock"? Noo... but I do remember the Goodies' song "Rock with a Policeman"! Oh, and for those of you fussed about buying bootlegs or second-hand CDs, one person I know, whenever he buys a BoSHCD, sends a cheque for a couple of bucks to the artist (if he can find some satisfactory address), to make up for "lost royalties". She's had a couple of nice thank-you letters back, too.
