I also need to know those individuals who will help copy tapes. E-mail me. The video is under production but far from complete. To wet your palates, the tape (so far) begins with two acoustic performances from MTV. He sings "Arms of Love" and "The Yip Song". The quality is near perfect because I have a first generation tape. Next, the entire performance of Robyn's show in San Fran's Golden Gate Park, including the spontaneous song "Ten Fingers". The quality is also near perfect. I make a desperate plea for more Robyn. We still lack one of his David Letterman appearances. We need the Conan Obrien show. Anyway...here goes: Me: Jennifer Waits Current Location: Bowling Green, Ohio (yes it is in the middle of nowhere) Where my mind is: San Francisco (grew up in Bay Area...just left SF after living there for 6 years) age:28 (yet I frequently get carded...even for cigarettes!) what I do: just left the corporate world in order to be an impoverished graduate student...I'm doing Popular Culture Studies, so I have already managed to discuss Robyn Hitchcock with my unsuspecting students! (I brought in a signed Robyn t-shirt as an example of a personal icon) when I found Robyn: Saw him for the first time in college--he played at my school in the fall of 86...I was instantly hooked and am now certifiably obsessed. Last spring I rearranged a business trip so that I could catch Robyn during his mid-west tour (and get work to pay for the plane ticket!)...it was beautiful..the highlight was Robyn actually recognizing me from SF shows (now you KNOW I'm obsessed!) Likes: Tacky tourist traps, American Gothic (the tv show), Breyers Mint Chip Icecream, Smog (the band), Tiger Trap, The Stinky Puffs Dislikes: people who talk at robyn shows Glasses: sometimes, but I usually wear contacts Fav Albums: Eye, I Often Dream of Trains, Element of Light $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND.....POLICE blotter items from Boring Green, Ohio "Police were alerted Saturday morning to a female who had the end of her finger cut off by a slamming door. The injured person was reportedly having an argument with her boyfriend, who slammed a door while her finger was still in it." "According to a Sunday police report, a Sixth Street man became angry with his roommate and unleashed about 1000 crickets in the apartment--crickets intended to be food for the man's iguana. Another neighbor in the building reportedly alerted police because the building was becoming infested with the noisy insects." (BG News, 10-25-95....although according to a misprint the date on this particular page is August 30, 1995!!!!!) ------------------------------ From: rhunter@ugcs.caltech.edu (her nice virtual halo) Subject: Re: Fegographics To: fegmaniax@ns2.rutgers.edu Date: Wed, 25 Oct 1995 16:18:02 -0700 (PDT) Name= Rachel Olivia Hunter Location= Pasadena, California (for college) "Hometown" or Land of my Ancestors= Modesto, California Physical age= 20 Mental age= varying amounts of a wacky 17, a bitter 59 and a senile 83 Occupation= Senior majoring in Biology at Caltech (famous for it's connection to earthquakes and for being a large inspiration for the movie about the stereotypical college nerd land, "Real Genius".... yes, the stereotypes are most often true...)
