Ages range from 600million years to 150million years (although there is still some dispute about that -- feel free to comment) In the short time I have participated in this list I have learned more than I ever wanted to know about such topics as toast, Yoo Hoo, leaves, tabs, rhyming slang, toast, Yarmouth, Un-tabs, non-rhyming slang, toast, paleontology, toast, tape trees, scampi cutters, inner grooves, the London Underground railway, Southern Florida ...and did I mention toast? I'm not going to defend Gina's opinions about Robyn Hitchcock or anyone else for that matter, but I would like to point out that one of her first published articles was a lengthy, glowing piece on Robyn Hitchcock in the San Francisco Examiner's pink section (weekly entertainment section). It's been years since I've looked in that box, but I went into it over the weekend looking for the Pink Section article that Gina Arnold wrote years ago. Alas, that article was not in the box, but I DID find a program from July 3, 1989 when Robyn performed solo acoustic at San Francisco's Golden Gate Park as part of Live 105's concert series. The program included an interesting "Robyn Hitchcock History" which I'll pass along later. A set list was scribbled across the back by yours truly: "I Often Dream Of Trains" "I Watch The Cars" "Queen Elvis" "Love" "Ten Fingers" "I Got A Message For You" Anyone know what this "Ten fingers" tune might be? I think somewhere I've got photos of this show, because I distinctly remember standing about five rows back, holding a camera above my head, facing it in the general direction of the stage and clicking away.
