To: Robyn If anyone has not mailed me either money or tapes, I have a new address, so, if you could send it there it would be dandy: Eugene Mirman 69 South Pleasant Street Apt # 8 Amherst, MA 01002 I have gotten stuff from some people, so don't fear anyone who has already sent me stuff. And things sent to the address I gave will reach me, just not as quickly...bye bye... -Eugene P.S. To anyone who sends me mail: I only have the ability to check E-mail every two or three weeks, so if I don't reaspond for a while, don't worry. To: fegmaniax@ns2.rutgers.edu I'm wondering whether I should get Black Snake Diamond Role or Gotta Let this Hen Out. I really dig the songs on BSDR, but the Hen is sort of a greatest hits/concert...I like most of BSDR and all of Hen except the Soft Boys stuff (it just sounds wrong without a guitarist...like an old band from the 60's trying to sound young again and not exactly succeeding). To give you guys ideas of my tastes: I own every publically released album (and one or two others) by Syd Barrett Fave Albums: Underwater Moonlight, Globe of Frogs, Respect(Except for Arthur Lee and Then you're dust) Least Faves: Can of Bees (too harsh to be listened to..too riffy) Perspex Island(I just don't understand the album) Generally Appreciated albums:Eye, You & Oblivion (which sounds rather strangely like Opel...same basic theme of one man, his guitar and no attempt at sounding sane. By a similiar note, Perspex Island sounded too much like 'Barrett'..sort of a last minute attempt to make something sound marketable by covering it up with keyboards and other layers of sound) Also...Could someone e-mail me about the Tape Tree thing..I'm wading through about 100 of the back issues of Fegmaniax..and I know that this must be an obvious question, but please lift a hand, I'm only a person. Also..if whoever posts chords to this thing could also post them to ftp.nevada.edu, I would be much obliged. The stuff there is sparse, real sparse. Thank you all. To: "Michael J. Swedene" Cc: fegmaniax@ns2.rutgers.edu I don't think that it'll help, but I'm here. I'm also trying to tab out RH, but apart from Globe of Frogs, I haven't figured out anything. More questions, in the hope that *someone* will answer them: Does anyone know what a Serpent Guitar is? For that matter...a Shruti Box or Shawm. Listening to the Higsons is on something besides Hen? If someone could help fill out the Globe of Frogs (Album) tab at Nevada, I would be grateful. That's all I've got to ask about for now. If you've got anything to ask me about Syd Barrett or Pink Floyd, I could try to return the favor. Well...at least I'm glad that I'm here.
