Date: Fri, 24 Feb 95 09:02 I just got a note from my system administrator that most of the notes sent out of the building yesterday were sent to corrupted queues and deleted; so, I am resending this note. If you all received it yesterday, my apologies! Joe *********Forwarded Message Follows ***************************************** Hey all -- I meant my first post to this list to me some sort of interesting background info, but I just heard this over the radio and thought some of you might be interested. WHFS FM(Annapolis/Washington/Baltimore) is putting together a trip to Rio de Janero with celebrity guest Robyn Hitchcock. That's right, for only $991.00 you can spend a week at the beach with Uncle Bobby. I just called the number and the price includes airfare, hotel, transportation, and breakfast from March 17th to March 24. (This seems a little odd in light of the announcement that he is going to be in Austin for some of those days.) The number that they gave on the radio was (301)565-4400. I can't vouch for any of this other than what I heard on the radio and from the woman at the travel agency, so you might want to give them another call if you're interested. Joe Knox (mjk.apa@email.apa.org) (P.S. Can anyone lend me $991.00? I thought $35.00 for two tickets to see him in New York was going to be bad!) I just picked up 3 tickets to the Park West show in Chicago. Who else from this list is going? Would you be interested in meeting before the show to say 'hi'? I'm coming from Michigan. . . My tickets say this place is on 322 W. Armitage. Can anyone give me specifics as to where exactly downtown this may be? What it'snear, etc. Again, if anyone else is going to this show, I'd love to get together. Put the face to the name, as it were. :) Maybe we could turn this into a mini-Robyn Hitchcock list get together. :) Eve Emshoff eemsho77@ursa.Calvin.EDU [][][][][][][][][][] Date: 25 Feb 95 16:18:12 EST From: Benjamin.M.Brainard@dartmouth.edu (Benjamin M. I was a fun job most of the time, and I especially enjoyed my relationship with the music editor, who weekly sent me home with several freebie CDs and not junk either (well, sometimes junk). I have a new job new but I have missed getting free CDs for the last year. The other day I dropped by to see my old work pals and the editor was there; I told her I had been going broke buying CDs since she wasn't my sugar mama no mo' no mo', especially the Robyn Rhinos, since it was near the top of my skull. She walked into her office and came out with the reissues of EOL, FEG and GLTHO and handed them to me. I nearly cried. [][][][][][][][][][] From: "David T.
