Fegmaniax Digest Volume 2 Number 47 Today's Topics: ------- ------ HEN OUT VIDEO Robyn A to Z (long post) Southern California Robyn shows announced allright yeah...! [][][][][][][][][][] From: LJ Subject: allright yeah...! To: fegmaniax@gnu.ai.mit.edu Date: Sun, 14 Aug 1994 10:33:56 -0400 (EDT) Is this song a cover? If so, who originally did it, if not, why isn't it included in any of Mr. Hitchcock's albums? It's a great song, and I can't get it out of my head, especially that part that goes, "what's your mother for, not a launchpad for your father..." Praying for some east coast concert dates, lj [][][][][][][][][][] Date: Sun, 14 Aug 1994 14:33:30 -0400 (EDT) From: "John B. Jones" Subject: Re: allright yeah...! It is an original song. I have no idea why they did not choose to include it on "RESPECT", although they did include it as a b-side (tho promo-only). The treatment of the song ended up quite different as a finished studio product than it was when they started playing it live (although I could say the same for other "Respect" songs like Arms of Love and When I Was Dead) It didn't have that country feel to it like the finished product has. If possible, please reply-to , or to this address if that one does not work. I included everything I could think of, even 1-time-only pieces; but I didn't include the songs mentioned in the liner notes of A CAN OF BEES because they seemed made up. (the note about SYTYiL: is that for real, or what?:) I'll include them in version 1.0. Also let me know if there is a standard in place for abbreviating album titles, etc. Eventually I'd like to have a version with complete song information, including "spoilers" (with due warning, of course). I have a "Gotta...Out" video compilation/package that includes live footage, film bits over other tracks. Awhile back I lost the box & such. Does anyone else have this video? I'd like to know the manufacturer so I can get another. Haven't seen it in awhile in video sections of cool record/video stores... I also like the refrence to a song called "Jerry Scud, Hoof Lips!" being "A bit too folky for 1979." >BELLS OF RHYMNEY, THE That should be credited to Davies/Seeger, arr McGuinn. >TRAIN ROUND THE BEND And that's a Lou Reed song from the last Velvet's album. ---Mike [][][][][][][][] End of this Fegmaniax Digest.
