Actually, waht's _really_ missing is Joy Division and The Cure, considering that O'Barr was working heavily under their influence while working on THE CROW, and quotes them liberally (sometimes entire songs) throughout the book. They also ought to include Robyn Hitchcock's (I think that's the artist) "Raymond Chandler Evening", since O'Barr uses the lyrics as counterpoint to the action in one of the scenes. Sorry. CROW fangirl here. :-) Other than the obvious silly omissions, though, have to agree that the soundtrack is excellent. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= For help information, send email NetNews Filtering Server with word 'help' in message body netnews@db.stanford.edu =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ====----A.L.----==== st3cr@jetson.uh.edu [][][][][][][][][][] Date: Wed, 11 May 1994 11:36:00 -0500 (EST) From: VHAWKINS@oise.on.ca Subject: GREAT Toronto shows!!!!! Is this group dead, stressed, or graduated or what? Anyway, I was wondering if anyone in the US has gotten their hands on a Soft Boys boot from the last tour (or indeed any tour). Has anyone gotten that (if memory serves) Metcalfe-distributed one, "Give It to the Thoth Boys"? Or is that a luxury only afforded our Albionic siblings-in-feg? I know the track-listing was posted some time back--if someone could do that again, it would be mighty slick of them. Thanx. The fellow at the record store mentioned the possibility that the initial few seconds of Pink Floyd (all I listened to) was just a clever diversion, and for some reason I didn't check the inner tracks. Nonetheless, the first song was definitely Pink Floyd. Sigh...
