[][][][][][][][][][] Date: Thu, 17 Feb 94 02:03:13 CST From: gokhman@ringer.cs.utsa.edu (Dmitry Gokhman) To: fegmaniax@gnu.ai.mit.edu Subject: for Americans Here's a message I just got from Mrs. Wafflehead: -------------------------------------------- 10/2/94 Dear Dmitry - Thanks for your letter dated Feb 4. In reply I'm writing to inform you that the American side of me will be with you soon. I'm just waiting for a few things to arrive here in London then the world is my crab!! Ha-ha - world domination! No - really I'll write to all Americans (tell your friends!) soon with a newsletter & my wonderful merchandise - hand on in there - it'll probably be on your doorstep within two months. Write to you soon! Cheers Mushy xx -------------------------------------------- Well, there 'tis. Bye, - D [][][][][][][][][][] From: jturner@rpms.ac.uk (Jonathan E Turner) Subject: Hitchcock goes bebop, Wafflehead goes US, German Cleaners To: fegmaniax@gnu.ai.mit.edu Date: Thu, 17 Feb 94 11:34:52 GMT UK bit: The Jazz Cafe in Camden Town, London lists: Monday 14th March, a solo performance from Robyn Hitchcock. 8 pounds box office is 071-916-6000. US bit: I got a reply from Mrs Wafflehead, written by someone calling themselves 'mushy'. There is, apparantly, a US office for Mrs Wafflehead. I was asked to forward 'the name of the person in the States' who was interested, but since there are probably more than one of you, I've written back to ask for the address of the US office so that those of you who are interested can write direct for t-shirts etc. I'll post the reply when I get it, hopefully in a few days. Unless anyone already has it ? General bit: Re: Cleaners from Venus. There's a one page article (the last page, in fact) in the new issue of 'Mojo' (the one with Frank Zappa on the cover and a long review of the Soft Boys boxed set) by some guy (I forget his name) who was in the Cleaners from Venus with Martin Newell. In fact 'in...with Martin Newell' may be an exaggeration; the article is about the Cleaners' 1986 tour of Germany which Martin didn't fancy going on, so he sent the band out without him. Worth reading at the newsstand while you're waiting for your train. Jonathan. I joined some time ago and have yet to see any postings . . . Just in case this message actually gets somewhere, does anyone know where I can get a copy of the _Brenda of the Lightbulb Eyes_ video? I used to see it in stores all the time but now I can't find it anywhere. I *did* find a copy of _Gotta Let This Hen Out_ for $6. :-) Good deal! -- Stewart "Test ... 1 ... 2 ... 3 ... test" Tame High Priest, First Universal Church of Barney Keeper of the Death In June discography I understand it's obligatory to mention Kibo somewhere in one's postings. =====a bird in the hand is not dead========================================= Email: stame@emunix.emich.edu | Disclaimer: Eastern Michigan University -------------------------------- and all employees thereof fully agree Snailmail: Stewart Tame | with my opinions.
