Well, the problem with including promo stuff is that you then need to include the Dierdre O'Donoghue interview... Spectre is brilliant. The alternate vocal take is an improvement, I reckon. But you _need_ both. Allright Yeah is superb. I'm not impressed with this promo-only world. MayBe, but I think the problem lies in RoByn's chIce for a marketable video for the MTV croonies. I mean I like Driving Aloud as a song okay, but there seemed to me to be better choices for a single/video. And we all know that if it's not getting medium to high play on MTV, the success rate of a single is severely limited. If this were true, then possibly a different label would be better for Robyn? Well you know how that goes. Artist wants to release this while record company has to take a marketing approach and wants to release something else. This situation has existed for decades. But i really think rEspecT is a solid record and while there isn't something as catchy as say "So you Think Your In Love" on it, "Driving Aloud" doesn't seem to have hit potential, and that's what they fed the alternative guys at MTV. Is there another video from REspect out there? Dunno...but it might be time for all parties concerned to think about it. The Yip Song, maybe. It sometimes doesn't matter though, presentation is almost as important as the quality of the song the video promotes. Hell, they could probably feed "Wafflehead" to the masses if the video worked. It's happened before... To elaborate just a little, when talking with Ms. Swanson at A&M, she said that yes, Respect's numbers were a little low, but that each new release of Robyn's tends to sell some of his back catalogue. Probably means that Respect hasn't topped out yet, especially since it's only been out for a short while. Still gurgling behind the hedge, Andy
