I haven't had a chance to see them since last Falcon Ridge. At that time I had been getting rather tired of hearing the same songs over and over with very little variety from the coffers of their vast collection of great songs. It had been building for over a year to that point when I sat there and said, I am tired of this material. Before anyone jumps on me, I am not saying I don't like the songs, I just would love to hear some of the back catalog more often or a greater range of songs shuffled in from set to set . So back to the question: Have they gotten more diverse in their set list of late? That being said, I am really looking forward to seeing them at Falcon Ridge. I was kind of bored with the same play list but even worse for me was the same old comments just with a different city inserted. Just to add to my rant I also had this very annoying women sitting next to me at the last show that was so overly dramatic and heartfelt with acting out and singing out loud every song that I spent about the whole show watching her. A similar discussion (about setlists that don't change) was held this week on the Dar Williams email list (I'm in favor of artists being like Petty or Springsteen and while keeping the "hits" sprinkling 4-5 rarities throughout the show) That said, I don't think FRFF or Wolf Trap goers have too much to worry about, they usually freshen up the sets.
