Hey All, My Wife and I are considering going to the festival this year but want to know your experiences with kids. We have a 4-year-old and we wonder if the full weekend in the heat may be a lot for her. She loves EFO and we are strongly considering it.... Are there pools, lakes, etc at the site? No pools or lakes, but it is a wonderful experience for kids. There are venues especially for them. There are several tented venues for people to get out of the sun. I wish we'd known about FRFF when our kids were young. - -Al At 09:50 AM 6/10/2008, Scott Dolliver wrote: >Hey All, > >My Wife and I are considering going to the festival this year but want to >know your experiences with kids. Also, you can steps to minimize sun exposure. Camp Edhead has a large covered area, and my wife and I usually camp near the tree line to maximize shade. And there's always lots of iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. There is a large kids area, both tented and open-air, with a separate stage and schedule. They do various arts and crafts, and it's staffed with volunteers. We brought our 1.5 y/o last year and when it got too hot we jumped in the car with the A/C on and took him for a little drive. He had a blast otherwise...we're bringing him back this year. The key for the kids would sunscreen and over-hydration -- they probably won't tell you they're dehydrated until it's too late (hell, it happened to me our first year at the festival, and I was 26!) - -----Original Message----- From: Al Simons Subj: Re: Falcon Ridge With Kids? There's also a State Park with swimming about 10-15 minutes away and also a swimming hole at Green River. Heh....3 years ago, we had Paradise Lagoon at our camp, but only Jer and I took advantage of it. Sadly, it was victim to a fatal floating candle wound and had to be laid to rest. *le sigh* Thanks!
