An amazing night of fun and music at the Ark!! Of course I can't remember a single one of Mike's jokes, other than 'Is anybody here from Canada?...pause...'Your lights are on'....Julie led into 'Hey Little Man' by telling how her son (I forget which son....shame on me) broke his wrist by falling while being chased by his brother in the back yard, and who is currently sporting a green cast, which inspired Robbie to ponder donning a cast to curry female favor....Eddie demonstrated that turning 40 and getting married in no way has diminished his percussionary talents - AWESOME drum solo as usual...Julie was resplendent in sparkly jewelry, and revelled in the fact, as she said, that the last time they played the Ark she pretty much had no hair, and now she has 'enough to put in a CLIP!!!!'. The jokes flew fast and furious, as did the music, lots of older stuff, a couple of covers, but all of it presented with tremendous energy and joy!!! The set list was as follows, and I didn't start writing stuff down until well into the show, so I probably have some tunes turned around: Big Noise Candido/America Farmer Brown Independence Indiana Hey Little Man I Don't Think I Know Me The Bird Take Back This Moment Adios Lorena Old Dominion (preceded by a long ramble by Mike on the use of that song by the Country Cookin' restaurant chain) There's a Carp in the Tub Tommy the Canexican I Don't Know Why (Shawn Colvin - Julie, solo) Drum Solo - Eddie Love Me Or Leave me Alone 1000 Sarahs First encore - We Belong (Lowen and Navarro) Second encore - And The Rain Crashed Down Bon Voyage to all of you going on the cruise!! I'll get my recording tracked out and posted on archive.org as soon as I can. Once it's up there, I'll post a link to this e-mail list. Sounds like a great show in MI...wish I could have been there. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Oct 2007 18:36:17 -0400 From: "Jason D. Triolo" Subject: Seattle taping -- 2005? Is there anyone on this group that may have taped the show at the Triple Door, I think it was May 25, 2005? I don't see it on archive.org, but I though I'd ask here anyway. I was there that night with a dear friend. Although I live in Florida, the show coincided with my vacation in Vancouver, just a short drive away. There was no way I was going to pass up an opportunity to see their show out there, and it has become (to me, at least), one of the most memorable EFO shows I've attended. Since I was 2600 miles from home, I had no equipment to record it myself :( Abundant thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
