Much ado about cuteness of Brindley brothers as Luke Brindley was the opening act. His brother Dan came out for what I thought were the last two (or three?) Brindley tunes. My wife remembers differently and thinks that Dan was only out for the last song. - - Quick - - Clear and Present Danger Robbie: Banters about taking youngest son to Charlotte's Web and how the next song is about developing into who you are similar to Charlotte's Web. Son asks if dad was crying at end of movie. - - Big Noise - - Stay Robbie: Describes how next song was written as theme song for Arlene Hutton play "Gulf View Drive" - - Take Back This Moment Mike: refers to Robbie as 'Robbie Lloyd Weber' and discusses the silliness of "Traffic Calming Ahead" signs and what exactly that means. - - Adios Lorena Mike: Mentions that February is 16th anniversary of band being together and growing up in the slums of Mclean (or like) and nothing like living in Viriginia. - - Old Dominion Robbie: Comments on Julie's bright red velvet outfit and how she looks like a "Christmas" present......and that he wishes he wasn't Jewish....so that he could take the Christmas present home...only Julie's husband is in the audience ...or is he? Julie's husband left with kids....Robbie really wishes he wasn't Jewish...so he could take the Christmas present home. but then segue's into Julie singing the next song as beautiful as a Christmas present. - - Baltimore Mike: Story of meeting Robbie for 1st time in 1976 when Mike's dog apparently "mauled" Robbie as Robbie approached dog from behind when meeting for first time. Mike took Robbie to see "Rocky". On the 30th anniversary year of the mauling, Mike takes Robbie to see Rocky (Balboa) with Mike's stepson. Mike's stepson asks after movie, "Are you guys crying". - - Sprawl Robbie: Mentions kids album - no.5 on XM kids station. Robbie then describes what it was like when having Grandmother's gefilte fish and a carp swimming around in the bath tub for 24 hours so that it would clean itself out. - - There's A Carp in the Tub - - Tommy the Canexican Julie: Describes how during her bout with cancer, her friend (Jen) made her an awesome music complilation CD entitled "Cancer Sucks". Julie then mentioned how she was about to undergo her 32nd and last chemo- The next song was dedicated to Jen - - Don't Know Why (Shawn Colvin) Julie receives huge bouquet of flowers from Jen and friends. According to Robbie, 32 of them to represent each round of chemo. Robbie then mentions Eddie getting married in the summer. Segue to: - - Eddie's Drumpire Julie: Mentions the cruise flyers she has placed on everyone's table and awesome the cruise is (i.e. Cruise Plug - can't wait for this as it IS a blast - I highy recommend those who have not gone to go on the cruise). - - Alone - - And the Rain Crashed Down Encore: Robbie: Talks about how the next song was initially made famous by Pat Benatar but written by a "couple a guys named Eric and Dan" (i.e Eric Lowen and Dan Navarro). Further mentions about Eric's battle with Lou Gherig's disease yet he strives to continue playing. EFO very close friends to Lowen & Navarro. - - We Belong (Lowen & Navarro) - - #6 Driver ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Jan 2007 14:08:28 -0600 From: paul@wiltberger.com Subject: Re: EFO: Birchmere 1/12/07 I will be at the L&N show Saturday evening in Chicago and I have printed out the email to show Dan & Eric. All you East Coasters are so lucky to see EFO for 3 nights in row, in the same venue, without having to drive great distances for shows in 3 different cities in 3 nights. That is what we are doing for the Dan & Eric tour of the Mid-West this weekend. Looking forward to see EFO on February 3 in Chicago! cheers..............
