My wife was especially looking forwards to this one after I told her Jim Boggia was opening, as we've followed him for some time and enjoy him. I was across the street at RT's, got to my seat with seconds to spare. Jim was great and got some converts, and there was only a short break before efo took the stage - the big shocker (and reason I didn't post earlier to spoil the surprise) was Mike's freshly shaven head. The band was on fire, and Julie was amazing, especially during "Great Day". Mike got some solo time to plug his solo CD, and let us know he'd shaven his head in solidarity with Julie. Julie and Robbie came out and reprised their version of "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" from the cruise. Julie had been wearing a hat and a wig during the first part of the show, and returned from Mike's solo turn with just the hat. During "Operator", she threw the hat off and there was a great moment of Mike and Robbie rubbing their heads against hers as the song ended. 1/14/06 Eddie From Ohio Birchmere 1. This Is Me 2. Wouldn't you just love to see Katey Couric interviewing the four of them one morning, her perky pyroxized smile & their shining scalps? (Oh, and I did get quicktime video of some of the band. Horse, Cowboy, and the encore of Old Dominion where Robbie wears Julie's blonde wig...Maybe I can put them on as a bonus to a CD once I get the boardtape digitized). His response was that he had shaved--he just wasn't saying what/where he had shaved. I told him he could show me (to prove it) but he smiled and declined. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-edheads@efohio.com [mailto:owner-edheads@efohio.com] On Behalf Of The Horizon Chaser Sent: Monday, January 16, 2006 2:14 PM To: hemisphire1@hemisphire.com Cc: edheads@efohio.com Subject: Re: Saturday's show I got Jim Boggia's opening set on tape when he opened for efo in Atlanta. I found out that the computers at work do actually have sound cards. so now i'm trying to find some of those internet sites that let you create your own radio station. i tried yahoo's...but it gives me a "page blocked" notice. There are, as far as i know, no ad-blockers on the computer. I did everything the troubleshooter FAQ told me to do, but no luck. So... does anybody have any other suggestions for build-your-own internet radio sites for me to try out? maybe some of them will work!!! thanks! - -rhiannon p.s. if anyone has any clue why it's not working, feel free to email me off list. i can't find any firewall info on the computer. but it will evidently let you play music videos, but not regular music. weird. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Jan 2006 17:47:45 -0500 From: Bob Woodington Subject: Re: internet radio (no nields or efo content) rhiannon, try this: http://www.pandora.com/ it's part of the music genome project, and you can create multiple channels, and give them sample artists/songs you like, and it will build a playlist... - -bob rhiannon giles wrote: >Well, you guys were so much help with my last question (about passports)... >that I have another one for you! > >I found out that the computers at work do actually have sound cards. so now >i'm trying to find some of those internet sites that let you create your own >radio station. i tried yahoo's...but it gives me a "page blocked" notice. >There are, as far as i know, no ad-blockers on the computer. Live365 does this, but they charge for it. Odds are, the sysadmins at your company are the ones blocking the content. If that's the case, all you can do is request that they unblock it or go without.
