What do Edheads tend to think of the Nields? I've been at festivals with N&K, but have never sat through a whole set, not because I don't like them, but mainly because I guess there was always something else I would rather be doing. They seem very popular, yet very few of my folkie friends seem to like them. So, should I make time to see their set this year at FRFF? Camp rivalries aside, what are your opinions of the Nields? ~Meg - --- rhiannon richard wrote: > Hi nieldsy people and edheads. > > Just got back home from the Eno River festival in > Durham, NC. Don't know if you should like them or not, but when the full band, The Nields, played FRFF a few years ago, they were awesome. Great energy! N & K as a duo are fun. Some of their between-song banter is quite funny. But they are somewhat different, and I could see that they would not appeal to everyone. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 4 Jul 2005 10:32:16 -0400 From: rhiannon richard Subject: Re: festival for the eno If they are full band this year at FRFF I would definitely try to see them. I personally like the nields, but I think the full band is more efo fan friendly. My fiance, zach, doesn't like the nields... but he said they weren't too bad live...and that was just as a duo. But since you're already going to be at FRFF, then i say try to see them. if you think you would like full band better, try to see their mainstage performance (if it is, indeed, full band this year). - -rhiannon On 7/4/05, Meg Taylor wrote: > This raises a question that's always kind of been on > the back of my mind. The girls live playing solo can be kinda stereotypical two chicks singing about life to a guitar. But let me tell you-- those girls know how to ROCK. When they have a full band playing with them, they transform into badass, almost "naughty girl" kind of folk artists. The fullband set I caught last Falcon Ridge (my first full band Nields experience) was a highlight of the whole weekend for me. <> ==**Steven 7/4 Rhiannon Richard wrote: > If they are full band this year at FRFF I would definitely try to see > them.
