WOO HOO. Two separate trips this year. Hopefully I'll have my laptop back from service by then. http://www.freightandsalvage.com/2005/may/info_27.html Anyone else get their tickets? I'm seeing The South Austin Jug Band (april 14) and RedBird (may 1) there as well. - -- matte ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Mar 2005 20:35:48 -0500 From: Jason Burkins Subject: Club Helsinki Show Intimate is the best way to describe Club Helsinki in Great Barrington, MA. But an excellent venue to listen to and interact with the band. As is the custom on this list, I tried to remember the set list (too cramped to scratch my nose nevermind pull out pen and paper) by memory. Anyone else who was there and remembers If I miss any, please ad them. I remember the following: Stay From Dacca Baltimore Horse One Thousand Sarahs Fly Oh My Brother People Get Ready And The Rain Crashed Down Its Alright Quick Three Fine Daughters Eddie's Drum Solo Tom Burleigh's Dead (Requested by Caragh) The band played fantastically as usual and while some of us had to dodge roof leak drips and a general inability to move appendages, the time seemed to fly by. Looking forward to the Hartford show in May! JAB ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Mar 2005 21:37:58 -0500 From: Laura Hudson Subject: Re: Club Helsinki Show Helsinki is, indeed, intimate. But it's a great place, run by great people, and I'm proud to have them in my backyard. It's even more fun at night. I was sitting in the "orchestra" section, as Mike called it, right in front of Mike. It was a little scary to be that close. My friend Nan was the one who arrived late, drawing the inevitable comment from Mike. So, you really DID resort to the cute kid request method, huh? Clever, and I was very glad to hear Tom Burleigh. Thanks, Caragh! I didn't bother to make any notes about the set list either, but I know that they started with "Big Noise" - and "Good at That" was in there someplace. Another great show - I can't believe I have to wait till May to catch them again. Sigh. All of my local friends are busy that night, so it seems I'm going by myself. I'd love to meet up with anyone here who'll also be there.
