I emailed EFO two weeks before a show to request "Maylee, I Had a Dream." I arrived two hours before showtime and they were doing their soundcheck, which I could hear from outside in the lobby. They were working on "Maylee," and it was very stop-and-go because Julie was forgetting the words. Later, during the show, they mentioned that they received an email request for the song, and asked if the person was in the crowd. I raised my hand, and they apologized for not being able to do it, but they wanted me to know that they tried it out during soundcheck and it fell to pieces, so they would need to rehearse it some more. Even though I didn't get to hear the song, it was nice to be acknowleged by the band during the show. While on ED HEAD cruise 3, everyone had a chance to fill out their top 3 song requests on a card. The band pooled them, then played all the most requested songs. My #1 pick was "Maylee, I had a Dream", but I figured it was probably not a huge contender among fans. Well, enough fans must have requested it, because they were running through the song before the big show. I snuck into the lounge were they were rehearsing to get some footage for the Cruise Video I plan on editing sometime this summer. Anyway, needless to say, I was quite exhited about hearing the song.... Alas, It wasn't to be. I seems as though they couldn't get it together that time either. So Bob, I guess us few "Maylee" fans will just have to wonder if we'll EVER hear the song live...: ( Tired of spam? Yahoo!
