It was my first taping venture, and you can download it at archive.org here: http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=21323 I'll probably head over to Pittsburgh on March 10th for my next EFO show. After that, we have Cleveland on April 16th and Columbus on April 22nd. It's nice to be able to catch EFO so many times! ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 23 Feb 2005 09:35:03 EST From: PBacoustic@aol.com Subject: Re: The Ark INteresting... I guess it's all in the perception -- a friend of mine up there attended it, and she said it was one of the more lackluster performances of the group she's seen -- said they didn't seem to have their normal energy... I got my tickets at 9am on Feb. 1 and I've been counting the days ever since - less than five months now! Shelly already has my tent measurements, and my husband has already packed his mixer (read: salsa jar). So far I've heard that EFO, Dar, L&N, Tracy Grammer, The Nields, The Kennedys, Crooked Still, and Brave Combo will all be there. I know there are others confirmed but I don't know who else...anyone else have word? Just a few short months... Peace, Meg PS Stuart - did you get my message? I knew you'd be calling for tickets on the 1st, so I told the lady to tell you and the family hello:) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - You care about security. Jill and I will be there for the third year in a row; we're hoping for no torrential downpours this year. > So far I've heard that EFO, Dar, L&N, Tracy Grammer, > The Nields, The Kennedys, Crooked Still, and Brave > Combo will all be there. This year will be my sixth year at FR, and my third year camping at the GFP (the nields camp). FR cannot come soon enough. Also, EFO at the Freight & Salvage on the Friday before (5/26, I think)! I've never been to Strawberry (no, not even the year Fruvous was there) and am looking forward to it; looks like an easy 4 or 5 hours from LA. Anyone interested in carpooling, e-mail me off-list. (Winter tour. Summer tour. The Freight. McCabe's. Whoa, it's like 1998 came back! Except this time, I'll be able to go to the music festival in the Sierras (Wizards of Wooden Music then, Strawberry now) instead of studying for finals! I'm so glad the list is back - I've really missed the chatter. I'll be attending FRFF on Saturday this year (I live just 20 minutes away, so I tend to do short visits rather than camp out for the whole festival) - Is it OK to look up Camp Edhead and just drop by to say hello? I'm sure you're all very friendly, but I don't want to intrude... On another EFO note, anyone who is close to Western MA should mark their calendars for Sunday, March 20. EFO is playing at my hometown club - Club Helsinki in Great Barrington, MA. This will be EFO's third time at the Club. It's a wonderful, funky, very small place. The kind of neat thing about this show is that it is at 1:00 IN THE AFTERNOON. Strange, yet cool. The Club is offering their traditional Sunday brunch before the show (it's really good) and has billed the show as an all-ages-welcome event. Should be great. A word of advice, though, get your tickets soon - The place only holds about 100 people. EFO date Just wanted to remind the Michigan Edheads that EFO will be playing here in Cadillac on March 12th. Tickets are still available online at www.gopherwoodconcerts.com . This show is at a nice small, 225seat, snoke-free venue. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions. In case you don't know where Cadillac is, we are 90 miles north of Grand Rapids. I had already planned my annual venture to Vancouver, BC for May 21-31. That in itself is great--that whole region has to be the most fascinating place on the face of the Earth. To add to the excitement, my new girlfriend will be joining me on this year's trip, and I'll be able to share the place with her. To top it all off, I see a Seattle date for EFO, and it's during the time I'll be out there, a mere 2 1/2 hours away. And she's also becoming an EFO fan. Can things possibly get any better than this? So if there are any Pacific NW-area Edheads planning on going to the Seattle show, make yourselves known. Also, if anyone has any reviews of the venue, those are appreciated, too. Can I just say that I'm travelling 2600 miles to see them play? Would anyone believe it? Didn't think so. :) See ya in Starbucks City!
