You could be the 5th member of the band, with This Is Me and an arrow pointing at you. Hopefully my picture comes out okay - - I'm still using archaic film technology. I don't have my set list handy, I figure others would have posted it by now. Anyway, really fun show. I was sitting at the first table to the side of the stage, so Eddie was hidden behind the hand percussion, but otherwise a great seat. Many family members of the band were at nearby tables. Between sets the band did Q&A instead of a break. Again, I thought others would have talked about this by now. They blame Lloyd Maines for the This Is Me thongs (a little on the nose, IMO). Lloyd was conveniently elsewhere to not defend himself. They played all but one track from This Is Me (No Pain, No Problem - I think), and did it in order. They peppered the sets with a few other songs - including an electrified Eddie's Concubine. Checking for the name of the track they didn't play, I noticed a new version of the website - very sharp. I stayed for the autographs, and now have a signed This Is Me poster. I mentioned to Mike and Robbie that since they played "The Bird" and it was my birthday, I felt a jinx coming on. Mike took care of that quickly by giving me the bird. When you toss someone a softball... David Bruggeman _______________________________ Do you Yahoo!? All you have to do to get the first five tracks of the new cd is enter the website - by clicking on one of the photos. My opinions - I love "And The Rain Crashed Down," and "This Is Me" (though I would sing it differently than Julie does, but that's just me), and "Baltimore" but I was somewhat disappointed with "Stay" and "Lady Freedom." They're much more overproduced than previous EFO albums, and they sound like any pop/rock/country song on the radio nowadays. They don't seem to have that unique EFO-ness. Just my two cents, Lena ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 20 Oct 2004 14:12:11 -0400 From: Jim Merullo Subject: Re: And the new website ... And I thought the OLD website was way too Flashified to be useful. When are people going to learn? It sure is a *pretty* site though. My $.02 on their new site. Jim Oh yeah, the CD hasn't yet arrived from Amazon but the new songs rock. To add, my only "complaint" about the new album is that Robbie doesn't sing the title track.
